CLEANROOM
The production of masks takes place in a CLEANROOM, It is a facility utilized as a mechanical lab whose main characteristics are the presence of very pure air and extremely low levels of airborne micro-particles of dust.
The international English term cleanroom means a room with a controlled atmosphere at the level of atmospheric pressure, humidity, and particulate pollution.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
RIVALAB manufactures surgical masks in an extremely clean and well-kept environment, from the wall and floor covering material to the lights, up to the type of furniture chosen for the work areas, to provide safe products. The masks are packaged under a laminar flow hood equipped with several fans with HEPA filters (High Efficiency Particulate Air) made of glass microfiber that guarantees 100% ‘pure’ air and eliminate the risk of contamination of the product.

MASK MANUFACTURING PLANT
RIVALAB masks are manufactured by using an automatic machine designed for production of flat surgical masks by means of ultrasonic welding.
Starting from the material feeding by means of coils, the machine can couple, weld, automatically insert the nasal band and assemble the elastic ear-loop bands.
Masks are made of a non-woven fabric with high filtration capacity layer manufactured by means of Melt blown technology and two other layers made of Spunbound non-woven fabric, connected lengthwise.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
In addition, the machine can fold the fabric to obtain the pleating that characterises masks.
The mask, thanks to the specific cutting and welding stations of the elastic bands, leaves the machine as a finished product, conveyed by a conveyor belt to the next packaging station. The attention in the choice of materials and the high production efficiency of the machine are key elements of a production that can guarantee both quality and speed.
