The disposable surgical mask is a medical device that protects others. It is a disposable product, which should be replaced daily.

RIVALAB masks are made up of 3 ply non-woven fabric consisting of polypropylene fibres. The external layer is in Spunbond (a non-woven fabric used in a variety of professional areas) with hydrophobic treatment, which has the function of giving mechanical resistance to the mask and hydrophobic properties. The intermediate layer is in Melt-blown non-woven fabric and it is made up of 1-3 micron diameter microfibers; this layer performs the filtering function. The third Spunbound layer is in contact with the face. It protects the skin from the filtering layer.
